The Smart Beauty Edit

I’ve been devoted to French pharmacy beauty and skincare for over three decades now. The irony? Despite spending years visiting my parents in France, I didn’t discover these now-essential staples there. Instead, I stumbled upon them on the shelves of Space NK—a place far more polished than the humble pharmacies that inspired them, and more expensive, as it turns out!

The hero product I started with? Huile Prodigieuse by NUXE, a multipurpose dry oil that smells to me of summer vacations, beaches and unadulterated joy. I always get the one with the golden glitter, which leaves the prettiest sheen on my skin. I still use it to this day and continue to gift it to my friends.

Another great product that I keep coming back to is La Roche-Posay Anthelios Age Correct SPF 50 which offers UVA and UVB protection. The formula is rich and creamy but does not leave a white film, which is a big no-no for me, because I use it daily, even on rainy days, as a base for my makeup.

When it comes to hydration for my body, I require a very rich cream or lotion, particularly in winter when my skin tends to become dry and itchy. Again, I turn to La Roche-Posay for their Lipikar Lait Urea 10% Body Lotion.
